Very well said. The Founders did not wish to be worshipped, but their ideals are universal in ways the world had not seen when they came along. They tried to put enough flexiblity into the system to amend it, to improve it, beacuse they believed the Constitution was a living, berathing document— even if the Scalito lineage of today does not. And, bwt, Madison did not seem so confusd by democracy in the Fedrealist Papers either...
