"Spirituality is an attempt to access the divine; religion is crowd control" (quoted by many). When I read an article like this, it is honestly easy to see why evangelicals and fear-based theology supports a Donald Trump. Conservative Christianity wants a savior from hell, not principally a Way-Shower. A Trump serves as the defender of the faith in the flesh, while Jesus erroneously becomes a hell-insurance policy. That is why Bishop Carlton Pearson lost his job as Oral Roberts' right hand man and likely successor— he had the temerity to say there is no hell. It will take Christianity sometime to catch up... but it will eventually get there. See "The Future of Christianity" here: https://youtu.be/rUffmfMdJ9k and here: https://youtu.be/ME884JX7ejg.
