OK, I may be the skunk at the party but here goes: I love Joe and Mika. In the morning I like their banter, lightheartedness and interactivity. Go ahead and smack me if you must but I find it "cute." And Joe's "bombast" is part of his charm and I believe he synopsizes salient points from the previous and current day's newsfeed with perception and, yes, personality. And finally it is not just them but the entire vibe of the show. No one, and I mean no one, delivers intelligent perspectives on the news with his reading and commentary than Willie Geist. Straight from the heartland, he feels like authentic middle America— smart, sharp but genuine and relatable. And yes, I love Jon Meacham, Michael Beschloss and Doris Kearns-Goodwin and their historical perspective on today's-news-as-American-history— and they are on Morning Joe a lot. I am clearly in the minority here but it does take a village. :)
