And that P.D. Reader is the difference between religion and truly spirituality. Religions and orthodoxies built on guilt, shame and "thou shalts" are breeding grounds for autocracy and authoritarianism.— just ask The Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion. A generosity of spirit to those less fortunate...how we treat "the least among you" is the reflection of an authentic spirituality not a rote religion. And being like Jesus, as a Howard Thurman would have cited him, has nothing to do with the stories about the man or a religion created after him, but the ACTIONS he took and the spirit he took them with. It is easy to become depressed by the world, especially those who consider themselves religious. As this nation truly begins to rediscover the esoteric, deistic, native American and transcendental roots of this country's spirituality, then fundamental "biblical worldview" Christianity— the kind that was prayed by the invaders of the capitol on January 6th— and takes ACTION based on that? Our country has the opportunity to live out its creed e pluribus unum, becoming a more perfect union.
